Itinerary – 10 Days in February: Osaka, Kusatsu, Tokyo

Edited to add this is for our Honeymoon! Thanks all 🙂

Hi!! I’m a longtime lurker of this sub and wanted to share my first trip itinerary. I will be going with my husband in less than a month!

We were trying to focus most of our time on the main attractions we didn’t want to miss for our first trip to Japan (including wandering Tokyo) while getting a few winter experiences as well (which is why I was set on doing the overnight Kusatsu Onsen trip).

About us: We are in our late 20s, I am interested in thrifting and shopping, nightlife (drinking/dancing/karaoke rooms), art and sightseeing. Husband is interested in same as well as Manga, photography, music (particularly Emo/Alternative, Electronic). He also collects VHS tapes if there happens to be secondhand stores that would still sell those!

I know there is a lot of traveling, unfortunately we already had the airplane tickets so we were not able to fly into Osaka so this is how I think we fit that in best. We’ve already booked accommodations for all nights as well.

Would love any recommendations/suggestions for our days in Tokyo and to know if there are any BIG red flags in our plans that I am missing!

You can’t even drive from Fushimi Inari to Kinkakuji in 20 minutes, let alone walk.
