My son, husband, and I are planning a trip to Tokyo for his 16th birthday. We’ll hopefully be there for a total of 9 nights May 10-May 20. Our plan is to stay in Tokyo majority of the time and then go to Kyoto for one night. He really likes Anime so that’s one big thing we would like to explore there. What would be the best itinerary? There’s so many places to see I’m getting kind of lost on what to do first. We will be traveling by train or feet.

If this trip is to celebrate your son’s birthday specifically I would have him do some research himself on things he might want to do in Japan and then have him report back to you. Have him make a list and start going off of that. Unless the trip is a surprise or something. The best itinerary is going to fluctuate a lot based on what you guys want to do/see.
