Does Duolingo do kanji?

If so, what unit does it start?

  1. Not sure but I recommend not doing Duolingo for really any language, as in my experience after doing it for a couple months, it doesn’t bring you anywhere close to fluency

  2. It used to start maybe 3 lessons in. Like “hey we know you learn a tiny bit of hiragana and katakana, but now here are some full sentences with kanji!” which threw a load of people off, including me. Now it seems better spaced, so you start learning a few kanji on their own before they throw you complex greetings or anything like that. I think within the first section of lessons, or maybe at the beginning of the next.
