Hey all, need some advice.
I’m moving out of Japan and need to make a lump sum withdrawal. I have 2 bank accounts: JP Post and PayPay (the bank not just the app).
The form says JP Post cannot be used so that’s out. The form requests some kind of stamp from the bank or a certificate.
How do I get the stamp or certificate when Paypay is all electric?
Has anyone successfully remitted the lump-sum to PayPay?
If so, has anyone been able to send the money to a foreign bank account from PayPay using Transfer Wise etc?
How long does the remittance take?
Can I access the Paypay app to move the money from abroad (perhaps using a VPN etc)?
I’m gonna be a broke grad student and thus can’t afford to ditch the ca$h, please help me out

You will get the money sent to a bank account in your home country (assuming that’s where you will be returning to).
Update: After some more digging I found some more information
According to this page, pension pay outs (not the lump specifically tho) can be received to paypal. A print out of my paypay account details should suffice for the “certificate”
Still not sure if I can actually use the Paypay Bank app abroad in order to send the money to my foreign account using Wise.
