Yea, those jobs are usually in the Philippines and pay 100 yen an hour.
Vipkid now does work internationally, if you’re interested in them. (I hear that there aren’t many student though.) otherwise you’re probably looking for something like cambly, cafetalk, etc. the pay isn’t as good as it use to be though, and you usually have to take out quarterly taxes yourself which is a burden for some.
I did see a recent ad for 1000 yen an hour. Interested?
