1. People in the discord of Alts that just left in April haven’t said anything about the PS5 having issues so I am assuming it’s fine! My only recommendation that I tell everyone all the time, carry that on with you. The TSA and baggage people might steal it. I usually put all my cords under the plane and take the expensive stuff on the plane with me.

2. I brought my Xbox one with me! I put it in a duffle bag with some other stuff that I carried on the plane. It made it pretty heavy and inconvenient to carry around but it was totally worth it to bring it. Had no problems using it there!

3. Ive contemplated how to transport my PS5. Either have it take up all the space in my carry-on pushing out any of my usual carry-on items, or leave it in check-in baggage.

   The thing is awful for transporting.

4. I brought my PS5 in November, cradled in my arms (carryon). Totally worth it, I just finished Elden Ring.

5. I would definitely recommend bringing the playstation. As much as you might have things to do in your community or with your JET friends there will be plenty of times where you have nothing going on that a console is perfect for. It can also help you make friends with people with similar interests in games! I’ve bonded with several of my teachers and become close friends with some of the ALTs over our gaming hobbies.

6. Consoles are usually fine. Just need a new power cable. PS4 and 5 are region free for games (not for media playback). Be aware that PS5s basically don’t exist here at retail, so if you are hoping to buy one, you are going to be frustrated.

7. You might be confusing the phone radio bands with wifi. Certain models of phones can’t use japan only waves. Wifi isn’t an issue though.

   So bring your console.

8. Tossed my PS4 and Switch with dock into my suitcase, no problem. Just watch your weight limit.

9. No problem. If this is a ps5 remember to put in your carry on so it doesn’t get stolen.
