June 15 – July 1 Hakone/Kyoto/Tokyo Itinerary Check

Hey all!

My wife and I are about to book our flights/hotels for our upcoming trip to Japan end of June. We like to get the big stuff booked in the coming days and hope to get feedback on our itinerary before we lock things in.

* **June 15:** Fly into Toyko NHD Japan Air
* **June 16:** Arrive in Tokyo at 5:30 pm – Transfer by train to **Hakone** \- Hakone Gora Byakudan (traditional Japanese Ryokan).
* **June 17:** private onsen, open-air museum Hakone Gora Byakudan, and dinner

* **June 18:** chill morning and transfer to Kyoto via bullet train – Check-In at Four Seasons Kyoto (walk around leisure) (Nishiki Market, Gion District, Yasaka Shrine) and eat at ***The Youshokuya Kichi Kichi*** – Omurice
* **June 19:** Kyoto – Otahi Nenbutsuji Temple, BambooForest / Arashiyama (old statues), Monkey Park (Daitokuji temple not near the other sites – don’t think we need to go) (Kinkakuji – not near other sites must see)
* J**une 20th:** Kyoto – Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka (street food), Hokan-ji shrine (orange gates) and Kiyomizu temple
* **June 21:** Get Lost / Kobe? / Nara Park?
* **June 22:** Day trip to Osaka

* **June 23:** Transfer day to Tokyo – Aman hotel – HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!
* **June 24:** Sensoji Temple/Kaminam Gate, Akihabara (walk around leisure area known for electronic shops), Ginza (5th Ave shopping)
* **June 25:** Tsukiji Fish Market Tour & Lunch with Omakase Chef Yoshinori.
* **June 26:** Disney Sea
* **June 27:** SPA DAY / GET LOST in Harajuku.
* **June 28:** Get lost: Shibuya (go to the Shibuya Crossing to see the Shibuya scramble and Shibuya Sky – *that needs to be booked ahead*), Harajuku & Ometesando.
* **June 29:** Imperial Palace and the Imperial Palace Gardens. (Meg OishiiFood Tour)
* **June 30**: Get lost/go back for any souvenir / last scoop of ice cream
* **Jul 1:** Flights back home

  1. What is check in time at the ryokan? Most places with meal include are check in before 5 or 6pm.
