  1. Can 千早く mean “a thousand times faster”?

    I saw this…

    飲めば、何千年だって生きられる!千早く細くなりたい人にも、おすすめです。

Context: Label on some fictional medicine which turns you into a mummy. I guess you can live longer and get skinny too.

I think this says, “If you drink this, you can live even thousands of years! Also recommended for people who want to become skinnier a thousand times faster too!”

But I’m struggling with 千早く because I didn’t see numbers as an adverb (I think this is it?) before

  2. Does the ぬ in the song title 島人ぬ宝 have the same meaning as the の particle? Or asked simpler does 島人ぬ宝 equal 島人の宝?

  3. I’m having trouble with the とおり grammar point when it’s not super obvious and I just want to make sure I understood this properly. This is from a reading in Quartet 1, about a professor who won a Nobel Prize for his research on IPS cells:

    「9回失敗しないと1回成功しない。失敗するのは、はずかしいことではない」という言葉どおり、山中教授はIPS細胞ができるまで決して研究をやめませんでした。

    Does it say something like:

As the expression goes/as the expression says, “If you don’t fail 9 times, you won’t succeed once. Failing isn’t embarrassing”, Professor Yamanaka won’t stop doing research until IPS cells are possible.

  4. >「やだ、すて犬かなー。かわいそうに。」せなかがうすいはい色で、目のまわり**とと**おなかだけ白い色をしています。「うわー、かわいい。でも、うちマンションだから犬かえないなあ。」

Why is there 2 と here? Is it a typo?

  5. Is there a way to say “again” in command form that is short and fast? I am familiar with “mou ichido もういちど,” but I need somethin’ that can be said quicker, if possible. Somethin’ you can say over and over, like, if you’re drilling a technique. ありがとうございます。
