They usually bring in the cleaning crews, rent the property out (on paper) for a single month, end the contract and put it back on the market without the disclaimer. They don’t have to disclose it’s a jiko bukken unless asked directly if the property has been leased to another tenant after the incident.
I’ve lived in an apartment next to a jiko buken apartment. The rent was lower because of it.
