Nagano or Nagasaki and Fukuoka in February

Hi all!

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I have to go on a trip for around 5-6 days at the end of February. I live in Kyoto, so Kansai is out of the question, have been to Tokyo multiple times so that’s a no too.

Two of the most interesting options now are either Nagano or Nagasaki and Fukuoka. I’m leaning slightly more towards Nagano because I LOVE snow and nature, but I’m scared my SO will be bored. Unfortunately skiing is not an option this year.

**Tentative itinerary for Nagano (february 20-25)**
\- Togakushi shrine
\- Jigokudani Monkey Park
\- Day trip to Karuizawa
\- One day in Narai-juku (possibly on the way home as it’s closer-ish to Nagoya)
\- One night in Nozawa onsen

**Tentative itinerary for Nagasaki and Fukuoka (february 20-25):**
\- Nagasaki penguin aquarium
\- Nagasaki China town
\- Day trip to Tatsunoshima island
\- Travel to Fukuoka, check the city, go to the yatai at night
\- Day trip to Itoshima

Which one would you choose and why? Any other ideas are welcome too!
