Hello!
We will travel with my partner in October to Japan. I have covered the first part of the trip but I have some doubts about the section that we will do through the Japanese Alps. Our itinerary is as follows :

**Friday October 13 | Night: Nagoya**
Ride one of the last trains to Nagoya from Tokyo or Odawara.

**Saturday October 14 | Night: Nagoya**
Take the train to Nakutsugawa for the Nakasendo route from Magome to Tsumago. Return to Nagoya from Nagiso station.
​
**Sunday October 15 | Night: Takayama**
Travel by train to Takayama. Possible visits of the day: Miyagawa morning market, Sanmachi Suji, Takayama Jinya, Sakurayama Hachiman, Hida Village.
​
**Monday October 16 | Night: Takayama**
Travel by bus to Shirakawa-go. Visit to the village and nearby viewpoints. Back to sleep in Takayama.
​
**Tuesday October 17 | Night: Hirayu Onsen**
Travel by bus to Hirayu Onsen. Relax day in Onsen and enjoy in the Ryokan.
​
**Wednesday October 18 | Night: Matsumoto**
Shin-hotaka ropeway and walk through Kamikochi. Bus to Matsumoto.
​
**Thursday October 19 | Night: Nagano**
Visit Matsumoto. Possible visits of the day: Matsumoto Castle, Nakamachi-dori. Train in the afternoon to Nagano.

**Friday October 20 | Night: Kanazawa**
Visit to Jigokudani Park from Nagano. Train to Kanazawa.
​
**Saturday October 21 | Night: Kanazawa**
Visit to Kanazawa. Possible visits of the day: Higashi Chaya, Omicho Market, Myouryu-ji Temple, Nomura samurai house.

Now the questions:
1. The 4-day Alps Wide pass should cover all sections from Monday 16th October to Thursday 19th October, right?
2. Trying to take advantage of the pass, is there anything else we could do on the day of the trip to Shirakawa-go?
3. Doing the shin-hotaka ropeway and Kamikochi on the same day is too rushed? Should I change the cable car for the day before?
4. My partner has tattoos, a very large one that covers his entire back that is not easy to cover. Any tattoo-friendly recommendations at Hirayu Onsen?
5. I am unsure about traveling to Jigokudani Park. Look at the facebook page of the park that announces the sightings and apparently it is one of the worst times to see the monkeys. Any alternative for that day?

\- Outside of these days we will travel 30 days in Japan, so it is possible to add or subtract days.
\- We have Jr Pass available.
\- After this section of the trip we will base ourselves in Osaka to visit Kyoto, Nara, Kobe and Himeji
