Does anyone know of youtube channels, Specificaly gaming videos, but not a necessity, that can be used for immersion learning (ie. Speak in japanese but has english subtitles built into the video (cos youtube subtitles kinda suck)).
Also, if this post is more made for a sub like r/learnjapanese , tell me and ill remove it.

There is

Unfortunately most game channels either don’t have subtitles, or don’t have human voices… text on screen only sometimes, or more commonly, computer generated voice. There’s certainly more out there, but they’re a little unusual.
You could also look on official game channels, some of their presentations and interviews will be on-screen subtitled but it’s kind of hit or miss.
Personally, though, I think that the best way to immerse games content with subtitles is just to play story-heavy games in Japanese. Almost all games with voices have a 字幕 option. If you cannot yet follow well enough to do it with a new game, check the language settings in games you already played and wouldn’t mind replaying.
I can’t think of many even when it comes to Japanese subtitles
Check out comprehensible Japanese over on YouTube. Idk if they have English subs but they introduce new word’s sparsely over their videos making it easy to pick up on what they’re talking about with the accompanying pictures
For me though watching YouTube during my studies was all I needed to start understanding Japanese YouTube no subs nothing. I don’t know how to explain it other than it was like I got used to the language until picking up new words started to get pretty effortless (paired with lots of other immersion and some study)
the role of YouTube in my studies is mostly practice for actually looking up and making flashcards anime and novels are just far more convenient.
If you want to games can be pretty awesome for immersion especially rpgs and other story driven games. For games a good ocr is the best tool I use this one on iOS but there’s another on android with the exact name that works perfectly as well (https://apps.apple.com/app/id1516740616) picks up 95% of the text I scan using it
