Hi guys so I’ll probably be turning 31 during my first year in Japan. An an Australian we can be on WHV for up to 18 months. I was wondering if I’m eligible to extend it if I’m already there but I’ve turned 31?
I’d suggest calling the embassy/consulate in Australia and asking. They’re usually pretty helpful.
im pretty sure you just need to be under 31 when applying. i applied a week before i turned 31, so my visa wasnt even issued until after i’d turned 31, plus i managed to get a 6 month extensions here after my one year though my country is only allowed one year (got it bc of covid, said it was hard to get a flight home)
