k, you are not gonna make it here.
Your best option is by far to move first and meet people once you’re settled. Possibly by taking Japanese lessons. It’s a good way to meet people in a situation similar to yours.
I would be careful when asking for friends on a website like Reddit. Especially when moving to somewhere totally new. You take the risk of being taken advantage of, because you sound like a pretty good target.
My advice would be to book yourself a holiday over there and start from that.
