I want to wear Lolita FASHION (LOLITA IS FASHION, READ THIS SO YOU DONT MISTAKE IT FOR SOMETHING ELSE) almost everywhere, but idk if it would cause problems outside of places like akiba, harajuku, etc.
I’m not sure what sort of problems you’d encounter by dressing like a weirdo everywhere you go. But you would be dressed like a weirdo and should expect at least some stares.
Outside of specific venues with a dress code I wouldn’t expect you to be refused service or anything.
You’re definitely not going to work any kind of “normal” job in such attire. But attending classes or going out socially you can dress like a weirdo if you want.
Some stares, but it’s not crazy unusual either. Some kids at my university dress up on regular class days (I’ve seen maybe one or two), but it seems more common to dress up on the weekends for outings with friends.
As a single Lolita you would get some stares. But you would more likely get “kawaii!” As a foreigner wearing Lolita in random places.
Most Lolita’s dress in groups and it is an event together.
Source: spent years with friends who did Lolita fashion. I was usually the only non dressed member of the party. Ask me whatever.
Walking around large cites like Tokyo or Yokohama or the surrounding areas, no.

In the middle of nowhere, yes.
