Help with itinerary?

My boyfriend and I are going to Japan in less than two weeks. Below is what I’m planning on doing each day – if anyone has suggestions for other activities/sites, please let me know! There are some blanks to fill in when we return to Tokyo. We have already booked hotels and gotten the JR Pass. I assume we’re only going to spend 30-60 min at each shrine/temple, so I’ve really packed things in.

DAY TWO (Kyoto)

* Early Shinkansen to Kyoto
* Arashiyama bamboo grove & surrounding temples
* Kinkakuji
* Kyoto Imperial Palace (is it worth it?)

DAY THREE (Kyoto/Osaka)

DAY FIVE (Hiroshima)

  1. >I assume we’re only going to spend 30-60 min at each shrine/temple,

    Some places will take that long just to walk from the entry to the actual shrine, so you might need a bit more time.

    >Tokyo Skytree (we don’t have our tix yet – is it worth it?)

    Do you like high views over city’s?

    >Kyoto Imperial Palace (is it worth it?)

    Do you like old building’s?

    >Peace Memorial Park & Museum (do we need tix beforehand?)

    No.

  2. I feel like the Skytree is worth it but at the same time it isn’t. I’m glad I went to the top and got to see an amazing view of Tokyo but it was pretty expensive so if you’re worried about money I’d give it a miss.

    It’s also super close to Asakusa, like less then 5 mins.
