question 1- I reaallly want to avoid the crowds at the bamboo forest if at all possible and assume they will be at their peak when we are there (30th March) because of the Sagano Romantic train and it being peak season for the cherry blossoms.
I had it down to arrive around 7:15 but i see now that sunrise is actually 5:50.
Does anyone have any first hand experience of being there at that time? Is it worth arriving that early?

question 2- I can see that it is possible to buy the hozugawa river tickets from a counter at Torroko-Saga Station in adavance (rather than just before getting on the boat) so we’d like to do that early in the morning. I can’t see what time that ticket counter opens though – does anyone have any insight?

thanks!
