I’ve been practicing listening using songs, and something I keep running into is い sounding like ゆ.
One example is in わがまま by 瀧川ありさ, where the first line is:
君にだけわがままになっていく
Where the ending sounds like ゆく. I know ていく comes from て行く, but where does this change in pronunciation come from?

行く is sometimes pronounced ゆく, and mostly means the same thing as when pronounced いく.
“yuku” is just an alternative way to say “iku”
a bit poetic… kind of
There are a lot of words that use less common, more “poetic” sounding readings in songs. 明日 pronounced あす instead of あした is another common one.
Noticed while listening to Shukufuku by YOASOBI. The lyrics wrote in katakana いく but the singer says ゆく. Probably because they read it as 行く so they write it いく
