Switch Anki Decks?

Hello everyone

I’ve recently started studying japanese again after dropping it for some time, and got recommended a couple different methods I hadn’t heard of before, such as sentence mining and different anki decks.

I’ve been using the AJT JP1K deck and got through it already, now I’m mostly just trying to catch up with the reviews that had piled up since I dropped it, but I’ve heard Tango N5+N4 or Core2k are good decks as well. Should I stop using my current deck and switch to either of those or just stick with it?

  1. If it has been a long time, then just do a new deck and easy out (or remove) the cards that you know. I do not want to blacklist words even I am confident in because it takes a second or less to pass them. Reinforcement is reinforcement even if its 6 months down the road.

  2. I’m in the same boat, I was about 3/5 the way of Core 6000 when life unfortunately got in the way, and now I’m struggling to keep up with my deck since there’s just so many words that I already forgot or struggle to remember due to lack of exposure. I might just reset my deck at this point and easy out the words that stuck as another user has mentioned here.
