Best Hotel View in Tokyo

Looking for advice on the best view in the city. Right now, I have two hotels on my short list. The Prince Park Hotel seems to have a super-close view of Tokyo Tower if you get a panoramic room. The Cerulean Hotel seems to have a good general city view. Both of these are bit on the pricey side but I am willing to spend a bit for a single night experience (gonna do airbnb for most of the rest of my stay in Tokyo).

If anyone has first-and experience with a hotel that has a spectacular city view in Tokyo, I would love to hear about it. I would be especially grateful if you could also say which style of room you booked. There are a lot of options in these hotels and its not always clear which rooms have views.

  1. I’ve stayed in a couple places, but I think something that will help you out is just being willing to put in the special requests for your room that you’d like a city view, or to be above a certain floor.

The staff are usually very helpful and often accommodate me on things like that, but you have to assume that a higher room might cost more. I usually ask in Japanese, but most hotels big enough to be in a skyscraper will be able to respond to English emails or comments, and in a pinch Google Translate should be able to at least roughly get your point across.

  2. Andaz Hyatt HANDS DOWN!! Here’s a link to the google photos from other travelers as well as I’ll link my pics. It won’t be cheap though especially if tourism ramps back up very quick expect $600+ a night easily here for a base room, there’s a room with Tokyo tower views which is obviously gonna be even more. Honestly if you want the best views in Tokyo expect to pay heavily for it. If you don’t want to I’d recommend doing the observation towers/decks and taking in as much as you can if the prices are too steep.

  3. My partner and I stayed at the Park Hotel Tokyo. The view was great and it was reasonably priced.

  4. Grand Hyatt Roppongi hills is clearly a good choice. We had an astonishing view on Mont Fuji from our room.

  5. If you want a view of the [Tokyo Skytree](https://i.redd.it/4zx6kue3iao61.png) and don’t mind staying around the Tokyo station area – this was my deluxe premiere room view at The Mandarin Oriental.

Also great views right when you enter the lobby as well as in the dining areas which face other directions of the city.

  6. If you’re a baseball fan, there’s a hotel next to the Swallows stadium that looks right down into the field.

  7. Toranomon EDITION is relatively new and has my fav Tokyo Tower views. If you want a good view without staying the night the Prince Park Tower Bar’s view is a lot better and more worth than staying in the 500+ per night room.
