Was reading the script from Final Fantasy IV and I was wondering if Cid’s accent can be traced to some specific part of Japan or it is made up or maybe some kind of “old-man-speak”. Here is a sample:

ところで、ワシの可愛い飛空艇は無事か？ お前の部下は荒っぽくていかん。
