I was thinking about how 暖かい often gets truncated to あったかい because of how difficult it is to pronounce in fast speech. Then I started wondering: in English when we talk about difficult words and tongue twisters, we often challenge each other to “say X three times, fast!” What’s the corresponding phrase in Japanese? 「X」と3回早くてしゃべって? Or maybe 呼んで？I’m pretty sure 話して wouldn’t be it.

ねぇ、あたたかかった って早口(はやくち)で3回言って(いって)みて or 言って！

In Japanese, tongue twisters is called as 早口言葉(はやくちことば) 🙂
As long as it’s not the appearing song lyrics as in karaoke. I have confidence in my pronunciation.
