Hey everyone, my ideal route for cycling (part of) the Shimanami Kaido route would be to rent bikes in Onomichi, then cycle to Omishima island and leave the bikes at the terminal there. From there, I’d like to get on the ferry at Sakari port to Okunoshima, the Rabbit Island.
However, the bike terminal and the ferry port are an hour walk apart. I don’t want to take the bikes because we will most likely be taking the train to get back to Onomichi once on the mainland. Does anyone know of a way to get around Omishima? Could I arrange transportation between the bike and ferry terminal? Can’t seem to find a bus. Let me know if you’ve got some insider info, please and thank you!

The only bus I could see go east-west in the middle of the island, none is going north to the Sakari Port Ferry Terminal. Your best bet is probably to take a taxi if you do not want to walk the distance. You can probably ask the people at the bike rental to call one.
