I have some questions regarding the Visa application form and was wondering if anyone could help out. I am the dependent of my husband, his company applied for both of our CoEs at the same time and we received them together.
1. On the form, it asks for a Guarantor and Inviting Person. I’m assuming, as a dependent, I am meant to include my husbands employer, since they applied for both of us? Are they also the “Inviting Person”?
2. As for the purpose of visit, I’m assuming I should just write that I am my husbands dependent, is that correct?
3. For the intended length of stay, am I meant to include the time shown on the CoE? In our case it says one year.
Apologies if these questions seem stupid, I checked reddit before and couldn’t find much specific to being a dependent. It doesn’t ask for much else documents wise, I thought they might ask to see the marriage certificate or something, but it’s not listed as a required document. Anyone else have any experience with this? My husband and I are not from the same country, so we have to go to different embassies. (Mine is in Germany, his in the UK)

I would strongly recommend phoning your embassy and asking them. I had similar queries about what I should put in these fields, and they told me right over the phone quite clearly what I needed to fill (and what, in my case, I didn’t need to fill – the visa form is the same regardless of what visa you’re getting, but some visas don’t actually require certain fields to be filled).
