I’ve sent multiple 10s of millions of yen from outside Japan into it and never had to fill out a form. The only questions have been for USD/EUR is if I wanted a multi currency account or them to convert to JPY.
There is usually a small handling fee though like a few thousand yen.
MUFG never asked me anything. The only catch is that there are paper trails for intl wire transfers so you should do your kakuteishinkoku if necessary.
Make sure your my number is registered to the account and address is correct
