There are only a few ways to do so, and since you’ve given absolutely NO information, there’s no answer for you.
The only way would be if you were married to a Japanese, or you have Japanese descendant.
While it’s not completely freelancing, a performing job at a big theme park or venue in Japan is very successful. I was a performer at a big theme park in Osaka for the last two years. They paid a lot of money, accomodation, per diem, travel, etc. and there hours were VERY short. Some days I would only 2 hours. On a big day, it was about 6. So pretty nice!
