Fan recommendation/advice ?

Hello, I am considering buying a fan because air doesn’t circulate enough at home but I know nothing about fan. Is there something I should look for when buying one ? Any recomendation and advice is appreciated.

  1. I like the kind that plug into the wall as their power source and has rotating blades that push air forward

  2. Head to a local Bic Camera. They have a ton of them out on display that you can turn on and test to make sure it’s any good. Then look on kakaku for that model for reviews and the cheapest price.

  3. I’m also looking for a high quality fan. For me the most important things are:

    – Remote control
    – DC brushless motor
    – At least 30cm diameter blades
    – Height adjustment that reaches 90cm (more if possible)
    – Multiple speeds
    – Adjustable horizontal rotation (I’m trying to replace one that only rotates 90 degrees, I hate that)

    Nice to have:

    – Foldable / easy to store
    – Transparent fins

So far the best I’ve found is [this one](https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/gp/product/B09379HVD2/), but the reviews aren’t so good, with people complaining about clicking noises, the lights remain on even after powering it off, and I don’t like the design.

  4. More than a fan, I would recommend a cirulator, I use the brand vornado and its nice. When I bought it I didnt have air conditioner and using it was better than a fan. Now, with air conditioner is even better. I set it at 28 celsius and it keeps the room cool.

  5. I use Nakatomi 工場扇. Keeps my room cool all day.

    Downside is the noise.

  6. Get the cheapest Yamazen one you can find. Should be about 3000yen.
It blows air around.. same as the more expensive ones.
