Side job taxes

I know in america if you make over 400 you have to write it during taxes, but what about japan?

I do art on the side, and while I don’t make 400, it’s enough for spending. ?

  1. The ballpark figure is if you make 200,000 yen per year you have to declare your tax (kakuteishinkoku).

But this number is after expense. So if you make 300,000 but your expense is 110,000 that makes your profit 190,000 so you don’t have to do the tax declaration. Make sure you keep track of your expense.
