Remote work on student Visa

Hello,

So I’m currently working an internship as a software developer at Tesla here in the US, and I’ll be returning to Japan for school in March. My manager wants me to continue working part-time while I’m back at school in Japan, and I told him that I’d have to look into it.

I’ve been doing that, and I’ve found an application for permission to do part time work on a student visa up to 28 hours a week. Here is the application: https://www.moj.go.jp/isa/content/930004124.pdf

Does anyone know whether this could cover doing remote work to a foreign country while in Japan on a student visa? If anyone also has any other experience or knowledge with how remote work pretains to visas I’d appreciate that as well.

I haven’t tried reaching out to my University yet because on the off-chance they don’t allow it at all despite the Ministry of Justice allowing it, I’d like to keep it hidden from them (it’s a private University with all sorts of unnecessary rules).

Thank you!
