戻る pitch accent changes?

I’m fairly new to pitch accent, forgive the probably nooby question. I just want to confirm whether my understanding is correct, that a words pitch accent can change depending how it’s used in a sentence?

For example, the word 戻る has a pitch accent of もどろ (low/high/low)

Whereas when 戻る is used in the sentence ホテルに戻ろう, it has a pitch accent of もどろ (low/high/high)

  1. Not quite, some words do change depending on how they’re used like when some words are used as adverbs for example. But here this is just the verb changing form, different forms of verbs are essentially different words, but they have regular change in accent.

    Remains 中高

  2. Any conjugations will likely have pitch accent differentiations. Best to know this can happen and listen for it in immersion or shadowing
