Job change problem.

So I am changing my job soon for the reason company being black asf, anyways, I gave my resignation letter and all, but since it hasn’t even been 6 months since they brought me to Japan after sponsoring my Visa, I made up a lie and told them I’m planning to return to my home country, now my Buchyou is asking me when is my plan to return and stuff, I’m on normal Specialist in Humanities and international services visa, so I was wondering is there any reason for him to ask this? Its like they are keeping an eye on the date on which I leave and not stay here, also is there a way they can cancel my Visa or something?

  1. They can’t cancel your residence status. They could report to immigration you no longer work there but that doesn’t automatically mean your residence status is invalid.

You don’t have to tell them what day you are leaving the country.

  2. They’re likely asking when you’re leaving the country because any salary they pay you after you’ve left Japan they have to withhold 20.42% non-resident tax from at source.

Just be honest and tell them you’re not leaving Japan. How you tell them is up to you…. You could just tell them you’ve decided to stay in Japan when you leave employment with them.

  3. Wow you can leave your visa sponsor that soon without any issues? I doubt that company will ever sponsor anybody again.

  4. Plan changes. Especially about going home. It’s normal. Don’t even need to feel sorry
