This is kind of a leap, but I’m looking for images from an ad campaign for a Japanese automobile that would have been taken around 1976. I was a 10 year old American kid living on a US Navy base, and our little-league team got a modeling gig one day at a studio in downtown Tokyo, maybe a block from the Tokyo Tower?
They dressed us up as a youth soccer team, and we shot several still-photo setups of our “team” looking in awe at some car and a pretty girl standing next to it. No idea what make of car it was, or how the photos were used (magazine? billboards? something else?). We were supposed to get some sample photos as keepsakes but never did.
Anyhow I was hoping someone might have ideas where I could look online for Japanese car ads from that era, especially 1976-77. I’d love to find some evidence to backup the story I’ve told my friends about the time I was an international male model 🙂
Thanks

This gent often posts these older style ads from magazines he collects. Might be worth a shot but I guess depends on if he’s willing to work with you on that hunt 🙂
