Hey everyone,
My roommate and I just got a letter from a lawyer saying that our building is being demolished at the end of our contract (about 1.5 years) and we have to move. The letter says they’ll help us find a new place, but does anyone know what that entails?
Most importantly, are we going to have to get our own lawyer for this debacle?
Any advice about the situation is grately appreciated!

This has come up a few times and people had a lot of advice to give.

We recently went through this and got costs covered for the move. We were well within our contract though so I’m not sure where you stand with that.
why are you concerned ? Just ask them how much they willing to pay and start searching next may. For the extension of your contract you would probably pay 50% of the initial one so ask for at least that much
