Planning a trip in late Nov/early Dec this year with two friends. We’ll have the JR pass for the portion of the trip where we’re planning to go out to Wakayama — however, I understand that Nachi Falls is a 4 hour transit for Osaka city. In this case would it be a feasible or ‘worth it’ day trip from Osaka? And if so, would it be possible to fit other sites in Wakayama in, such as Dorokyo Gorge or Kosenji Temple?

8 hours round trip? thats brutal for a day trip. you leave at 8am arrive at noon, get 5 hours to explore before its dark then 4 hours back?
