Looking for some advice on hiking in Nara region.
We plan to arrive on Friday to Osaka and spend the night there. The following day we will drive (rental car) to Koyasan, do a hike there, stay the night and hike on Sunday as well. Probably we hike the Koyasan Choishimichi route since we can somewhat make it circular.
We have another night booked in Koyasan (Sunday to Monday) and were thinking of doing a hike in Yoshino but arent so sure if its worth it. We’re going mid march so its a bit early for the cherry blossoms I gather. Any recommendations on that or alternativesaybe closer to Nara city? We’ve already visited Nara deer park and loved it. If any worthwhile hikes are there we’d consider it.
We’re also open to staying only one night in Koyasan.
After that we drive and spend Monday night in Kyoto.

Definitely no blooms yet in Yoshino, but probably still nice, particularly if you’re interested in visiting shrines. Currently planning my first trip myself so none of this is firsthand experience, but here’s two other hikes in the area I’m considering fitting into my trip:
