Tokyo Trip Feb 19-Mar 4

Hi all! I am traveling to Tokyo from the U.S. with a travel group and just have a few questions.

1. Best way to get from airport to hotel/from hotel into town?
I know there are trains and we will be getting passes as part of our travel group, but are there any rideshare/taxi companies that work? Are there any Uber/Lyft equivalents that can be easily accessed on a phone?

2. Tokyo DisneySea- We have a day in Tokyo to ourselves and I really wanted to go for the day. I heard there is a specific way for tourists to buy tickets, and wanted to know if a reservation is needed like at Disneyland?

Thanks so much for any help & I’m so excited to go!!💓

  1. There’s a lot of taxis all around Japan and especially around the airport. People don’t tend to recommend it because it’s expensive. I think I read somewhere that there isn’t much Uber/Lyft which makes sense. Depending on where you’re landing it could easily cost $100 on taxi compared to $10 via bus or train.

You definitely should reserve tickets for Disneysea. Google it. Disney has the website translated to English.

  2. You buy the tickets for a specific date

I had some issues with the site registration because it forced me to use my disney+ login that I had for the same email address, but then asked for more profile information and threw an error every time I tried to save. Finally fixed it by logging into to the orlando disney website and filing out the info there. Once I finally got it to work my capital one MC worked fine to buy tickets but I saw that others had issues with US visa and mc, so you might need amex.

Klook also sells tickets if you can’t get the official site to cooperate.

  3. Just take the trains and walk to the hotels usually everything is at least 20 Minutes away from the train station. Use Google maps to figure out the train schedule.
