I successfully added a Suica and my US issued Amex card to my Japan purchased Pixel Watch. However, when I tried to add money to the Suica, I got an error saying:
Google was unable to confirm your card at this time. Please try again later.
When I called Amex, they said Google did not even attempt to post the charge. Did anyone have this problem?

There was a thread about this exact thing recently.
It’s not a google problem or a credit card company problem, it’s a suica problem. Lots of people have posted about being unable to top up suica with their foreign credit cards.
