The article points to the US bases as being the likely source of PFAS which seems ridiculous considering PFAS are in SO many everyday products.
According to Prime Minister Kishida, we have to consider carefully the effects on society, of turning the frogs gay.
Blaming the military base for maybe some fire-fighting foam on a military base is pretty crazy when the combinis will nuke your food in plastic containers. I live in Kokubunji and that airbase might as well be in another country, there are no common watersheds. Maybe if we were still taking our drinking water from the Tamagawa josui…
Yeah the US bases light contribute but it’s nonsense that that’s the only source.
I personally am deeply suspicious of the many J-Corps which are world leaders in PFAS/PFOS chemicals… I haven’t heard a peep about PFAS until today, and the ubiquity of Teflon cookware in this country is shocking. Not to mention all the other non stick stuff in convenience stores…
