I have to ask about the bug screen

Okay. So I’m moving from place in about 3 weeks.
I’ve got like a checklist from the company I’m renting from like “check xyz” kinda thing.

One of them were the bug screens on the outside attached the windows.
Now, I don’t know but I think one has come off. When slid open the window there were only one “window”.

This is however sliding windows so I’m not really sure if it’s suppose to be that way tbh…? I just never thought about it. So technically you can only have one window open at a time… if that makes sense?

So there’s two options
1. There never was a second
2. It came off during a storm or something.

And, I’m the highly likely scenario there is a piece missing, what do those things even cost? Been googling around and it said like 20,000 with installation. That sounds mad high to me.

Any comments and downvotes welcomed

  1. Are you saying there’s only one screen per window? That’s normal. It’s only meant to cover the part of the window that’s open.

  2. There should only be one per window or in the case where there are four sliding doors there’d be two. There has to be less because otherwise they wouldn’t be able to slide out of the way.

  3. As others are saying, if there were two, then it would be like an impossible puzzle. You cannot normally have both sliding doors open in a sensible configuration, so only one side needs a fly screen.

Of course, you could open both doors halfway, but the neighbours would talk.
