(I’m not an ALT) but would they be OK with you working a separate job? Nearly all Japanese companies that employ full-time workers don’t allow this, and the company will find out when they file your income taxes

I used to work at a bar every Friday and Saturday , worked as an extra on a movie set a few times and sold Engish material on mercari. Now i’m absolutely minted I don’t do that crap anymore.
If you are on an Instructor visa, you legally cannot.
