conjugation.

Hello I am currently studying japanese and I am currently learning Grammar. I stumbled upon these topic about verb conjugation and quite having a good understanding about it. Until I encountered some verbs that don’t end in -u or -u rows. Most of them are some English words I tried to look for translation like;

Snoring ( ibiki / いびき)
yawning ( akubi / あくび)

For the meantime these are the words I found that don’t end in -u, I’m thinking that I don’t have the correct translation of these words. Or If I do how would I conjugate them?

  1. That’s because they aren’t verbs lol. Sometimes Japanese uses verbs when English uses nouns, and nouns when we use verbs. If you try to translate directly from English, it will sound weird.

  2. Well, neither of those are verbs. They’re nouns. If you want to use them like the English verbs ‘snore’ and ‘yawn’ they’re あくびをする and いびきをかく
