Buying tickets for 2023 Takigi-Noh before arrival in Japan?

Hi folks, does anyone have more information about how to buy tickets for the Takigi-Noh performances at Heian jingu shrine this year (June 1-2) in Kyoto, aside from doing it at the box office?

I understand that it’s possible to buy them from the ticket office in advance, but I’d like to buy them as early as possible (online, via phone, through our hotel, whatever), to avoid the chance of the performances selling out (not sure of the likelihood of that or not).

Plus, we’re arriving in Kyoto May 30, so that doesn’t give us many days in advance to get them from the ticket office or arrange it with our hotel (again, not sure if this event tends to tell out).

We arrive in Japan in Tokyo on May 21. Perhaps at the very least our hotel in Tokyo could call for us? I’m not sure if that would create logistical problems, though.

Neither of us speak Japanese (though we’ll arrive with the very basics via duolingo).

I can’t seem to find any information on how to buy tickets not directly at the box office, or whether it’s even possible.

All advice welcome!
