I got gifted this lovely chewy sweet. What is it called, and more importantly.. Where do I find more?

  1. I buy them at Daiso all the time. The come in green tea, yuzu, and ginger flavor. I love the ginger ones.

  2. For future reference, Google Lens is your friend for things like these. It’s helped me identify a lot of things I couldn’t quite get the name of or read thanks to the translation feature.

  3. It says Hyōrokumochi. The type you have contains seaweed powder, kinako, matcha, and white bean paste. You can find it online (ex. Amazon) or a Japanese grocery store (ex. Mitsuwa).

  4. Oh my havent had these in years! They use to carry these in our local Korean grocery store growing up my mom would let me get just one box lol.

  5. Is that the one with the edible wrapper? I used to be able to find those in normal stores, but haven’t seen them too much recently.
