HomeMoving to JapanDoes anyone have any experience with the long-term course at Tokyo International Japanese Language School (TIJS)? If so, what was it like?
This school is seldom mentioned on the net when it comes to learning the language in Tokyo. I can’t find any reviews, either. Because of this, does anyone here have any experience at this school and could share their thoughts on it, too?
No experience, but out of genuine curiosity I am interested in what your general plan is: duration of stay, length of study period, visa type, travel plans etc.
Where are you at in terms of your language learning?
I’m planning to spend 2-4 weeks at a Fukuoka language school whenever they’ll open up for tourism, and I also plan to travel. Consider a home-stay during the study as well to increase the immersive experience.
There was a friend of mine who went there. I met him here in Japan and was all the time fussing about the school. He didn`t like either the teaching way nor the classes. Too many students and no time at all for personal question.
In my case insted I attended a Japanese language school in Nakameguro.
The staff was young, not many students in the classroom and I had a very straight relationship with the teachers. i ve been helped finding a part time and for everthing there was always the staff ready to help me. I`ve been there for 9 months and even if it wasn`t so much my Japanese really improved especially in reading!
