Could anyone advise a vocab drilling app with audio, autoplay, and spaced repetition function?

Hi!

I’ve recently started self-learning Japanese. I am looking for a spaced repetition vocabulary learning app, kinda like Anki, but that has an **autoplay function with Audio.**

So I use Genki and it’s Genki Otto Navi app with all the audio files for dialogues and vocabulary.

I found out that I memorize words really well when I **play the Vocabulary section of each lesson on repeat to drill them when I’m driving or washing dishes or doing mundane tasks** (English -> Japanese audio). However, I wish there was a way for me to select words I don’t know and deselect words I know and randomize the order they are being pronounced in, rather than just listening to the same sequence of each lesson.

I bought Genki Vocabulary app hoping that it will have it. It indeed has a flashcard system, however there is no autoplay and you have to interact with each word every time. And I **sometimes** don’t have the ability to do that and **just want to drill the words when I’m doing something**. **And sometimes I do want to interact with them** to tell the system how well I remember each word for it to update the sequence it’s feeding stuff to me.

Does Anki have that ability? From what I’ve seen it doesn’t look like it… If I am wrong let me know! I will be super happy. Otherwise, is there an app that does what I have described?

Thanks for your time, guys!

  1. Haven’t heard of anything close to what you’re looking for, I’ve searched recently for a order randomiser addon for anki but came up empty.

It’s not ideal because it requires finding each audio file but you could just put them onto your phone and play them on shuffle, that should work for you if you’re looking to do listening practice when doing the dishes etc, it doesn’t have any of the features your looking for but it could do for now.
