Rate my 11 days itinerary – Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka
hi guys, planning a trip in Nov to see the autumn leaves. have taken some of your previous feedback and have come up with this. Do let me know what you think! (restaurants around the areas would be a welcome suggestion, as well as the feasibility of my plan)
Day 1 (24 Nov)
* 2pm: Arrive in Tokyo afternoon (Haneda Airport/Narita)
* 1.5hr travel time
* 330pm check in to hotel
* visit Imperial Palace’s eastern gardens
* check out the kabukiza Theatre
* 8pm Dinner at Ginza Kagari Ramen (20 min walk)
Day 2
* 7am wake up early and go to Sensoji temple (20 mins train)
* Asakusa Neighborhood exploring
* Lunch 12pm
* check out Tokyo National museum
* travel 20 mins
* 4pm Akihabara
* Dinner and back to hotel
Day 3
* 5am Toyosu fish market for auction (see mood, will take 1 hour to travel to yoyogi)
* 9am: walk to yoyogi park + Shibuya crossing + Meiji Jingu
* 12pm: lunch
* 1pm: \~30 mins travel to Shinjuku gyouen garden
* 3pm-530pm free space
* 5pm – 20 mins travel to Tokyo Metropolitian Gov Building for sunset
* 7pm Dinner and home
Day 4
* 9am check out breakfast
* 10am: Shinakansen from Tokyo to Kyoto (estimated 3 hours)
* 2pm: check in hotel
* 3pm: hotel to kinkaku ji (30 mins travel)
* 430pm: 12 mins travel to Ryoan-ji ,
* Dinner at Pontocho Alley
Day 5
* 830am – Nijo Castle
* lunch Mendaka ramen
* 11am – Gion District + Yasaka Shrine + Maruyama Park
* 2pm – Higashiyama District
Day 6

* monkey park, togetsukyo bridge, tenruyji, bamboo groves etc
Day 7
* 9am – take 40 mins to travel to Yasaka Shrine + Maruyama Park
* 1pm – 1 hour travel to Nara (Todaiji , deer, Huerto /kakimase udon )
* 9pm – return to Kyoto
Day 8
* Chill and check out 12pm
* Lunch and leave for Mount Koya in afternoon
Day 9
* 830am: Leave after morning prayers and breakfast (3 hours train)
* 12pm: check in to osaka accoms
* 2pm: Osaka Castle
* 5pm: Umeda Sky Building
Day 10
* 9am – 1.5 hours trip to Himeji
* 11am – Himeji castle + garden
* 2pm – travel to Engyoji Temple (20 mins)
* 5pm- Rikimaru sushi (20 mins from Engyoji)
* 2 hours travel to Osaka, back eta 8pm
Day 11
* 9am – check out
* 12pm- Sumiyoshi Taisha
* 4pm – 1 hr travel to Airport
* 455pm Depart from KIA
