I was wondering what kinds of activities I could do to spend time at Haneda airport Terminal 3 at night. I won’t be using the airport to board a flight, instead I’ll be going there to receive a friend whose flight will arrive there. The flight will land at around 10 pm and I expect my friend to take another 1-2 hours before he can complete his formalities and exit the airport. I will be arriving at the airport sometime in the evening, and want to have some good quality me-time.
Which restaurants/bars/izakayas would you folks recommend I try out? Or if you have suggestions for other things to do, I’d be glad to hear them!
TL;DR Need suggestions for activities to spend time at Haneda T3 in the evening (airport visit only)

You could spend a lot of money at Yoshinoya!
Although, that location’s meat quality has gone down some, more like fat with slivers of meat.
Upstairs, they have like tiny shops, and an aviation museum of some sort if you’re interested, there’s also a mini-bic camera.
However, in recent years, Narita airport has overtaken Haneda with better quality food spots. Haneda airport has a lot of hard surface sitting spots with no back-rests which hurt people with spinal problems, or anything to do in the lower back, groin and gloots regions.
Neither of them have a Lotteria though, so that’s something to think about for the future.
Try swiping right
Have fun somewhere else and take a late train to the airport. It’s not a fun hang if you ask me. Plan your entertainment around Shinagawa or Hamamatsucho and hop on a train afterwards. If everything goes smoothly it won’t be more than 1hr to get from plane to baggage claim and out.
When I went through Haneda back in October, a lot of the shops were still closed, unfortunately….hopefully they’re open now. The Edo-style area is…small. Worth checking out only because otherwise there’s eff all to do – you’re at a bleedin’ airport.
Most shops will be closed around 8pm , don’t waste time …there is the new complex just near though
I believe Haneda Airport Garden complex is now open. Basically a big mall, hotel and onsen complex.
A late night under the arches drinking Tachinomi and eating Motsuyaki at Shinbashi? Full on salaryman experience.
