I know the guy who sparked this all off by putting his gopro on a plate. He’s hiding out till all this blows over.
I bet it was just an excuse for the company to put less food out.
130 million japanese, and only 2 or 3 people did this shit. thats NO justification for removing all the sushi.
I don’t see it being a real big deal. If anything it’s a win win. Most people I know order fresh instead of the hour old sushi.
The restaurant makes it to order , less waste= more profit.
>The move comes after videos of unhygienic behavior by customers atvarious restaurants racked up millions of views online, leading AkindoSushiro to file a complaint against a customer earlier this week.
Such garbage journalism. This all seems to be about ONE scumbucket, but the article alludes to more scum seamlessly and without a proper explanation about “them”.
But anyway, I am so sick of this. One or a few crazies do something stupid, and millions of the rest of us have to suffer some kind of fallout with policy or legal changes and of course, price increases to compensate.
Well, there are always going to be crazies out there so I really wish people would stop trying to stop the world because of them. Just lock that clown up and lets friggen move on okay?

I can’t tell how old the kid is but I wanna say 14~15. He was being an idiot and even if he did the same thing pre-pandemic, the shunning he’d get from people who recognised him from the video for his stupidity would be enough. Technically it’s a criminal offense with real risks and dishing out an adequate sentence to deter others from doing similar stunts is the right move.
I wanna add a but to that sentence but I really don’t know what’s the middle ground between jail the idiot for starting a whole thing and showing the whole world, and it’s a child finding new ways to be a moron so maybe some leeway should be given.
Even if you order it still just goes on the conveyor belt so how does this solve the issue?
So back to covid style where you have to order every plate. I really don’t get the fascination people have with being ass hats, and then filming asshat material for the world to see. Then later, crying about how it’s not their character and they were stressed, etc.
I can’t believe the national coverage of this story is getting. I’ve see it on TV everyday since it happened. Each time with a big pannel discussion all about it. like holy fuck japan is this really the biggest crime going on. This wouldn’t have even gotten local coverage in thr US. Same goes for the Filipino Prison/Japanese robber scam.
People do realize that anyone could do these kinds of things at any kind of restaurant? Lick plates on the table, spit in the shoyu, etc, etc. So let’s take a common sense approach and just close all the restaurants.
