Itinerary Check: 21-27 March (Tokyo/Fujiyoshida)

Hi all, I will be traveling with a group of 6 other friends (late teens – 20 years old) planning a week long trip to Japan, mainly staying in Tokyo, with a day trip planned to the Fuji Area.
We will be flying from Singapore, landing in Narita. Only a few of us have been to Japan once or twice before, for the rest the group this is their first time. We are hoping to catch the early bloom of the cherry blossoms at this time.
Any feedback for our itinerary is greatly appreciated.

21 March:
• Arrive at Narita at 6am JST
• Light breakfast at airport
• Leave via Keisei Skyliner around 9am to Nippori and take Yamanote to our accomodation at Ikebukuro
• Early lunch and visit Sunshine Aquarium at the afternoon
• Pokemon Centre, Animate, Clothes shopping

22 March:
• Breakfast at Tsukiji Fish Market
• Clothes/Window Shopping at Ginza
• TeamLabs Planets
• Tokyo Tower in the evening
• Shibuya Crossing at night

23 March:
We designated this as a free day so all of us with different interests can visit the places we want to go
A day plan for me:
• Ueno Zoo in the morning till noon
• Coffee at Asakusa
• Shopping at Akihabara
• Kanda Myojin Shrine

24 March:

• Whole day at DisneySea
We heard rumors that the parks starts letting visitors in earlier than the opening hours, can anyone verify if this is true or is this just hearsay?

25 March (Fuji Day Trip):

• Get up early and take the 6:45am Keio 1401 Highway bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko Station. Arrive around 8:30am
• Breakfast around the station
• Fujiten Ski Taxi (to be booked) for 7 up to Fujiten Snow Resort
• We plan on skiing/snowboarding until 4pm and having lunch there
• Taxi back down to Kawaguchiko, train to Shimoyoshida to visit Arakurayama Sengen Park and Chureito Pagoda
• 7:10pm bus from Kawaguchiko to Shinjuku, arriving at 9pm

Is it possible to add an onsen visit before or after the Park visit?

26 March:

• Senso-Ji
• Shopping in Asakusa/ Nakamise-dori Street
• Imperial Palace
Any suggestions for places to visit for this day?

27 March:

• Check out hotel around 10am
• Last minute shopping in Ikebukuro area (Don Quixote…etc)
• Keisei Skyliner from Nippori back to Narita
• Flight departing Narita at 4pm

  1. Where are you traveling from? That first day is packed and will kick your ass if you’re coming from the U.S. or somewhere similar. If it’s not that much of a time difference than it’s good.
