Hi all. My best friend’s dad asked me what this means when I told him that I started learning Japanese. I just began memorizing hiragana and katakana, so I’m just a beginner and could be of no help to him. It’s a gift he received from his Japanese friend and he wanted to learn what the text on the gift means. Thank you!

大わん looks like large bowl i cant make out the rest of the kanji
大わん、弐拾枚。Daiwan, nijyuumai
My best translation, “Big Bowls, 20 units”
I’m not confident in the last kanji “枚” If you see the left side of the kanji it’s different than the one on your box. However I cannot find a kanji that matches the box, plus “枚” makes sense because it’s the counter for plates, bowls, and flat things. It’s just possible whoever wrote on the box misspelled the kanji…
